Let's KIS in 2009 and grow our hair to its longest lengths!!!
With the new year there always comes a time of reflection over my life and re-assessment and evaluation of my priorities. This year will mark my 2 year anniversary in my healthy hair care journey and I am pretty comfortable with my regimen, the products I am using and my overall journey as a whole. I have said before in previous posts that LESS is MORE when it comes to growing your hair to its longest lengths. So, this year, let's focus on keepin' it simple (KIS) in terms of our hair care practices. Let's KIS with our products, our hair styles and of course our heat usage...and as with all challenges hosted on LHDC, I will be periodically asking for updates from y'all! So the theme on LHDC for 2009 is KIS...

I think I am kissing so much I have mono! I need to get some deep condition in my life and stop playing.
LHDC, do you have hair all over your bathroom? I shed so much... is that normal?
BIA No Mo
LHDC: Hi, BIA!!! Nope the hair-all-over-the-bathroom-days are over for me. I attribute it to my moisturizing method, deep conditioning and most recently henna. Have you tried any protein treatments?

It just dawned on me a few days ago that the products you use are part of your regimen. I thought what you do to your hair was your regimen. I am going to try to use what I have and really find out what works for my hair. I am considering deep conditiong twice a week. I am going try to keep it simple.
LHDC: Hi, Tee! Yes you are right! And DCing twice a week is not a bad idea...at least until you get your moisture levels in check. You will find that KIS is really the best way to keep your hair growing AND retaining your length. I can't wait until you reach your first goal, Tee!!!
