Wow; that is a HUGE difference! I didn't realize that the InStyler was THAT amazing. I mean, I've had one for years now, but I guess it's been with me so long that I haven't truly appreciated its worth.

Hope you don't mind a white chick dropping in. I came here for hair grow tips and have definitely gotten inspired.

I got a horrible hair cut two years ago, waay too short with all these pieces and layers) I tried to fix it and made it worse. The salon tried to fix THAT and by a year later, my hair was shorter and chopper than ever.

For two years now, either I or the salon has been chopping on my hair, and now it's super short (I hate me in short hair) and all different lengths all over with a piece cut out here and there where I tried to cut the back. Only my bangs are long -- eyebrow length.

I got some extensions the other day -- clip-on. My hair's barely long enough to hide the clips, but it does. I've decided to wear them every day and just let it grow underneath.

But now my roots are showing -- am I going to go to a salon for the right color and be sucked into "let me even that up for you" or color it myself and hope it matches my extensions (and doesn't turn fire engine red, which has happened before).

Meanwhile, I'm resisting the cutting one day at a time...2 days without "evening it up" myself now. I know what you mean about the "urge to chop." I'm letting a pro thickening treatment grow out, too, so I have different textures like yours with the relaxed and naturals part.

Suggestions? I'm using a no-sulfate shampoo and conditioner on this baby fine, limp stuff, and now I'm taking your advice and adding a weekly deep conditioner.

I love your hair -- and your sister's and daughter's, too.

Are you following the growth point method? Or the search and destroy? The search and destroy method seems impossible! Searching strand by strand??? = O

LHDC: It's my humble opionion that if you use the search and destroy method, you may as well be not cutting at all...but to answer your question, I guess I'm using the goal point method, but really I'm just NOt CUTTING or TRIMMING for several years...

I was skeptical that this even work on textured hair. Great review!

LHDC: Yes, it does work and works WELL! Thanks for reading!

Wow! I have tried so many flat irons and this one is the best! it make my frizzy hair so soft and beautiful I don't know what i would do with out it.

congrats girl -- I am soo inspired by your progress! I stuck to my GAP regimen, but I am not ready to reveal my hair just yet. I plan to uncover my hair on Memorial Day weekend.

Blessings!

Lina

Thank you Lav for all of your support, inspiration and encoragement!!!

That hair is the bomb, for some reason I can't comment on the April's showcase but she has inspired me to relax again. I still don't know why I am going natural anyway.

Your hair is amazing!

LHDC: LOL! I'll have to check into what's going on with the SOM's comment section. Thanks, BIA for letting me know.

LOVE THAT HAIR !!!!!!!!!!!!

LHDC: THANK YOU!!!

Congradulations LHDC. I new you would do it. You are such an inspiration. I will try to get my pictures loaded. My before shot is on my camera and my after is on my husband's.

LHDC: Hi, Tee!!! Thank you, sis! I was a bit discouraged at the end of last year with that miserable update I posted before my trim, but my confidence has been restored this year and I'm expecting big things for my hair in 2009.

I can't wait to see your pics! And thanks again for your help! You are a lifesaver (LITERALLY!)

LHDC: UPDATE! I just went ahead and uploaded a YouTube video instead. Enjoy!

LHDC: Hey, y'all!

I don't know what's going on with the slide show...click on the "view all images" icon and it will take you to see the pics. Hopefully the slide show will load up at some point otherwise I'll have to figure another way to show them to you.

Thanks for checking out my updates!!!

HHG!
