One of my loyal readers requested that I post some styles of how my girls wear their hair on a daily basis. This is one of the styles in the rotation...that's right y'all, my girls rock a bun just like they momma! During the week, I'll bun their hair - only redoing the whole bun at the beginning of the week. If their edges need touching up (and most times they do) I'll take the ponytail down and use water and a toothbrush and brush up them edges then tie it right back up. The braids don't get redone. I don't mind if the bun part gets a little frizzy - THAT'S WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO DO! Besides, I firmly believe in allowing little girls to be just that. Anywho, here's the bun with Baby Girl as the model and then the weekend "bun-out" with Big Girl modeling...
I always start with a ponytail with 2 braids like this
Then, I wrap the braids in the same direction and secure it with an ouchless elastic. Sometimes I dress it up with hair bows and headbands and sometimes I don't. Like I said, they will wear this bun for the whole week only touching up the edges as needed.
On the weekend, I let their hair loose! Either twist/braid-outs or wash-n-go styles. I do not frequently heat-style their hair. Not even blow-drying. I use heat on their hair MAYBE twice a year.
I don't do much to their hair, but I do plan to post more styles that I do on the girls' hair.
You can find their regimen posted here.

They look beautiful. They are so lucky to have a mom that learned the right way to care for their hair while they were still young.
LHDC: Thank you, Tee!
