Hi!
A long time ago I joined your GAP challenge, but before the end of the challenge I totally gave up. I got my hair pressed and I'd made absolutely nooooo progress, and I was super dee duper discouraged. I didn't send you the pics at the end of the challenge because I was so ashamed that I'd failed.
--Oh, I guess I should have started by saying I'm natural, have been all my life, but just starting learning how to do my own hair this year after living in Spain and not having anyone around to do my hair while I was out there. --
I got my hair pressed in March and after "trying" so hard I had gotten nowhere lengthwise. I kept changing products and trying to figure out what to do, but that did NOT help. Buy july I'd had soooo many setbacks that I gave up even more (if that was possible lol). I decided that from then on, all I was gonna do was put my hair in a puff and let it go, because clearly i didn't know how to retain hair. Well, on October 17 I got my hair pressed and trimmed.
The first pic is from March, (the pic with the white tee)
The second pic is from October, (the other pic)
I'm sure you can notice the difference, right? I was shocked. I honestly think the growth started coming around july when I chose a "regimen" and stuck with it: i get the front half cornrowed every two weeks and puff the back daily. I condition it everyday in the morning with KCKT, apply some KCCC and let it dry. Aside from deep conditioning, that's pretty much all I did to it from july to October. Seeing my hair made me sooo happy and gave me some encouragement. Granted, i still have a LONG way to go on my hair journey, but I'm so proud of my progress. I don't know how many inches it is, but you can still see the difference visually.
I just wanted to let you know about it - I felt bad about not finishing the challenge on your site, but I really was ashamed . I hope you weren't mad at the time. (lol) Thanks for reading, and thank you for providing support and great info on your website. Have a great week :)

awesome growth; keep up the great work. You are a true inspiration that taking ur time and doing the 'right' things to ur hair(i.e conditioning) does help to boost hair growth. I am so curious. What is KCKT and KCCC? Thanks.

Sorry, I am new on my haircare journey. What are KCKT and KCCC? Are these products or specific mixtures of ingredients?
LHDC: Hi, Erica! KCKT = Kinky-Curly Knot Today and KCCCC = Kinky-Curly Curling Custard (or Kinky-Curly Come Clean...). These are 2 products in the Kinky-Curly product line.
