I finally made my goal of SL. It feels like it took forever but I guess 9 months is not that bad!! I'm going to agressively pursue my final goal of Full APL. By agressive I mean, absolutely no heat for the next six months and 100% protective styles. My goal is to reach Full APL by December 2010.
My regimen has not, and will not, change. I currently wash and deep condition with heat every four days. I've included some Nexxus products into my usual stash of Phyto products. I received information that the ceramides in the Nexxus shampoos and conditioners help women who use no-lye relaxers. I currently use Phytorelaxer II. I must say that my hair has not suffered the dryness that most no-lye users complain about. I'm 100% sure its the Nexxus products (ceramides) that combats the dryness.
Attached is a picture of my growth from February thru December. I haven't trimmed since August 22, 2009. Since my ends are fine, I'm going to schedule my next trim in May. The no heat regimen really helps in preventing split ends.
