The best thing that I've learned while on my journey is DIY (Do It Yourself) haircare. I acknowledge and embrace the fact that if I was still a "salon-rat" my hair would NOT be as long OR as healthy as it is now. Nor would I have as much money in my savings account
. I haven't been in the shop for well over a year - 2/15/08 was my last shop visit - and although I miss it, I think I enjoy my hair sweeping across my back a little more!
DIY is incorporated into my entire regimen and this includes trimming my hair. I'm still holding on to not trimming for 2009, but when I do trim, I use the techniques demonstrated by this woman.

Dang the computer in the leasing office still won't let me see the page (aaaaaaaargh!) I can't wait to get my own pc. Hm. I had one, but VW is SO...uh.

Chanee, what I do is braid my hair in sections, honey I dont let my hair get away with NOTHIN!!!!! There are surveillence cameras up there. This is straight up Dillards. i know if you braid the smaller part in I guess medium braids, then they won't be able to put anything past you... those sneaky little hairs. HMph!

Ok, i'm going to ask a dumb question, but what if your hair is short, as in it barely touches your shoulders? And the top is layered. How would I trim then?

If and when I do I will use this technique. I may just go to Toni and Guy and let them hook it up.
