The hair benefits of apple cider vinegar have been widely known for generations and women (and men) have been using it as a hair treatment for just as long!
When used as a final "rinse" a water solution of apple cider vinegar will close your hair's cuticle, restoring your hair back to its optimal pH of 4.5-5.5. A closed cuticle means softer, stronger and shiner hair that is much easier to detangle!
Apple cider vinegar can also be used as a cleanser to rid the hair and scalp of growth & retention hindering buildup.
ACV has been a staple in my and my girls' hair care routine for several months now. We don't use it as a rinse...and we don't use it as a cleanser. Instead we use it as a SPRITZ!
Rinsing is too cumbersome for me! Plus with a rinse, I never know if I'm completely covering every strand without using like a gallon of an ACV/water mix. So, I spritz it on! This way I have better control over how much I'm using.
My spritz solution is pretty much the same as a rinse - 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to every 1 cup water.
The benefits of ACV spritzes are real! I have personally experienced with my own hair, and witnessed on my girls' hair SOFTER hair that is SO much easier to comb out! We've been consistently losing less and less hair with each detangling session...could that mean stronger hair, too?
If you currently incorporate ACV rinses in your routine, try spritzing it on and tell me how you like it!

I have been wanting to try the ACV rinse as a spritz, but was wondering are you rinsing out the ACV after spritzing or leaving it in???
