TWO-STRAND TWISTS
I did these on wet hair. I "made" them last 2 weeks. I used a homemade gel concoction to twist them. It took me about an hour to twist each head and maybe 35 minutes per head to take down.
Sometimes I'll let my girls wear their hair out....ONLY ON THE WEEKENDS though. And usually only for one day....unless momma's lazy!

) I did about 6 large two-strand flat twists on the top and then maybe 18-20 smaller twists in the pony tail. This lasted a week...BARELY! It took me just about an hour per head for this one.
My girls are 100% Black (African-American) and have 100% virgin, natural hair. Their hair was NOT heat straightened in these pictures. In fact, all styles were done on freshly washed, wet hair except the twist-out.
The styling time does not include detangling or washing. *sigh*

Omg! too cute, I have two girls myself in July it will make it a year that I did their big chop. They were permed for two years and it didn't turn out well for them so I cut it all off. They were a little sad because they were use to having long hair. But their natural hair is growing well. My oldest girls hair is bra strap length now. My youngest daughter her hair seems to grow a little faster she's just below bra strap. It's hard to maintain both their heads. But looking at your girls picks it inspires me to keep going and growing great hair.

Your daughters are gorgeous and their hair is so beautiful!!! Wow! Did their journey start when yours did? How did you get it to grow so much. I want my daughters hair to look like that. What is the gel concoction and do you treat their hair the same way you do yours?

I do love their hair ! SO beautiful ! If your daughters did it, so you can do it too (you are their mother afterall, they should have inherited some of your hair potential).
Great job mama! Your daughters will thank you later !
Maybe you should wear your hair natural like your daughters in order to maximize and retain more length
