I've been actively growing my hair since the summer of 2005, so it's been 4 years now.

Is your hair chemically processed? If so, how and how often?
No, my hair is completely natural.

What do you consider your hair type to be?
3b with a little 3c- I have deep s curls that spiral near the ends.

What length do you consider your hair to be now, and what length was it when you started?

Perhaps you may or may not have noticed, but there has not been a Showcase of the month posted...well, that's because I'm won't be showcasing a single woman's hair for the month anymore.  Instead, the LOVING her hair!!! posts will showcase beautiful heads of hair that I come across in the hair growing communities and rather than featuring just one head of hair for the entire month, LOVING her hair!!! posts will not be on a scheduled timeline.  These posts can be as frequent as once a week or as infrequent as every other month.

June 2009 Showcase of the Month

I have to admit that my reasons for selecting this month's showcase are 100% SELFISH!!!  In my humble opinion, tenjoy represents the epitome of hair growth.  Tenjoy has utilized the 3C's to their fullest and as a result her hair has grown ALL THE WAY DOWN HER BACK and it's STILL growing!!!  I needed some inspiration and I started looking through tenjoy's albums helped me to realize that I'm on the right track!

May 2009 Long Hair Showcase of the Month

 

Curls, curls, EVERYWHERE!  This month's showcase is especially for the "curly" girls!  It really is hard not to envy GoingNatural's hair.  I mean it has BODY, SHINE, VOLUME, CURLS and LENGTH!  WHAT MORE COULD A GIRL ASK FOR?!  The moment I saw GoingNatural's hair, I immediately asked her to be showcased on my blog!  Beautiful hair!  Beautiful person!  and a Beautiful journey!!!

April 2009 Long Hair Showcase of the Month

Now WHO said that Black women don't have long hair?????

This month's showcase has hair that will make your jaw drop - GUARANTEED!!!  I personally have been stalking Loveya4ever's hair for the entire duration of my hair journey.  Not only is her hair lovely, but she maintains a lovely online persona as well.  Loveya4ever has always been helpful and keeps her loyal STANS updated on what's going on with her hair on a regular basis.  Get ready for your jaw to straight drop, y'all!!!

March 2009 Long Hair Showcase of the Month

Hey, Divas!!!  This is the 6th month of LHDC's Long Hair Showcse, can you believe it?!?!  

I am TOO excited about this month's showcase, y'all!!! This month's showcase has some AMAZING hair and an AMAZING journey!  goldensugar23 proves that when you KIS your hair can and will achieve its longest lengths.  Not only does goldensugar23's hair totally ROCK, she proves that for some people a short and (golden sugar)sweet hair journey IS possible!!!

February is my birthday month so I thought long and hard about who I wanted to be showcased on Long Hair Don't Care...I wanted to select a woman who has been on her journey for a while; a woman whose progress is jaw-dropping...I wanted to select a woman who serves as one of my personal inspirations and who will inspire my loyal readers as well as those who just stumble upon LHDC.  So, being the generous person that I am, I have decided to share my birthday gift with you...

January 2009 Long Hair Showcase of the Month

 

I couldn't think of a better person to have showcased on LHDC to kick off the new year!  ***Que***'s hair can be summed up in one word - INCREDIBLE!!! ***Que***'s hair is SO incredible that even the well-known hair guru Cathy Howse once asked her "...is that all you???"

Thick.

Healthy.

Long and strong.
