60 Weeks Post!

Yep!  This week makes 60 weeks since I've relaxed my hair!  Here's a pic of my freshly washed hair.  I'm trying to show the amount of new growth and the texture difference...the STRETCH continues!!!

LHDC's Hair Journey Album

Since I'm coming up on my 3rd year of hair growing, I thought it'd be a good idea to put together an album to document my journey to mid-back length.  This really is something that I should have done a long time ago, but, better late than never, right?

Looking at pictures is REALLY is motivating!  I feel like I've come a LONG way!!!

My 3C's Hair Care Regimen (updated for 2010)

*****As of December 26, 2009*****

Cleanse:

• Co-wash once per week
• Shampoo once every 4-6 weeks

Condition:

• Moisturizing deep conditioning treatment once per week
• Mild protein treatment once per week
• Henna treatment once every 4-6 weeks

Care:

• Detangle/comb hair once per week
• Oil scalp once per week or as needed
• Protective style daily (2 strand flat twists, bun, wig)
• Moisturize length and ends of hair daily
• Cover hair with satin bonnet or scarf nightly

"Detailed" version:

• Overnight DC weekly with coconut oil/cholesterol
• Weekly co-wash with coco-cholesterol treatment
• Weekly mild protein treatment with motions CPR
• Leave-in w/ Tigi by Bed Head Moisture Maniac (I saturate my hair with this)
• Weekly detangle
• 2-strand flat twist corn rows (b/c i don't know how to braid )
• Moisturize daily

To detangle:

• Saturate hair with leave-in
• Saturate hair with aphogee green tea
• Satruate hair with detangling spray if necessary....sometimes it is not necessary
• Apply some oil
• Comb out hair with wide tooth comb in sections

2009 Year End Review (kinda)

Well another year has come to and end and that means another year has gone by and I didn't meet my targeted hair goal!  If you recall, last year this time I was wanting to be BSL and at the beginning of this year, I set my goal to MBL...needless to say, this year is a repeat of last year.  I did not make my hair goal and really, I'm not dissapointed about it since I've learned quite a few new things this year about my hair and this whole hair growing thing as a whole...

The REAL reason I haven't relaxed...
