Denver (AP) – Arizona savvy Chris Devinsky was placed on the restricted list Wednesday by Diamondnbacks, who gave no reason.
To take his place on the list, Diamondbacks opted to hold the right hand by Anthony Swarzak of the team’s alternate training site. The move came about 20 minutes before the start of the stadium between the Diamondbacks and the Colorado Rockies at Coors Stadium.
Devenski rescued Sunday in San Diego, his first in nearly three years. The 30-year-old signed as a free agent for the minor league on January 26th.
Devenski has a career mark from 16 to 16 with 3.39 eras in 227 games that include seven starts. He spent five seasons with Houston but was limited to four matches last season. A bony bump was removed from his right elbow last September.
He signed a contract to spend a million dollars while in the major tournaments.
