BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) – Many western New York kids will hit the sidewalks to get trick-or-treat today, and we’re joined this morning by Buffalo Police Chief Jeff Reynaldo, who has had some safety advice for families.

Captain Reynaldo discusses some good standard safety tips for trick-or-treaters, what folks hand out candy need, and tells us more about the Spooktacular Halloween Drive-through Trick-or-Treat event hosted by Buffalo Police tonight.

From 3-5 pm at these locations:

  • The Neighborhood – 1847 South Park Ave.
  • District B – 695 Main Street
  • Area C – 693 Hertel Ave.
  • District D – 2767 Bailey Ave.
  • Traffic Department BPD – 1345 Bailey Ave.

Police officers would assist at each location, handing out candy outside to trick-or-treaters who would stay in their cars.
