BUFFALO, New York – Mayer Brothers Cider Mill is a WNY staple that is popular for cider and cake, especially during this time of year.

WGRZ spoke via FaceTime to Colleen, a store manager at Cider Mill who has been pressing apples since 1852, to find out more about what’s going on there this season.

“We usually get 10 to 12 truckloads of apples a day,” Colin said. “We’re still basically a cider squeezing site, which is what we do. So we are constantly squeezing cider and it’s running all year, but during store season we have the best cider because it’s the New York apple.”

In addition to its signature cider and cake, the Cider Mill has a pumpkin patch, horse-drawn carriage rides, fresh pies and more.
