Indianapolis (AFP) – The National Collegiate Athletic Association announced Monday that it plans to hold the 2021 All-Men’s College Basketball Championships in one geographic location to mitigate the risks of COVID-19 and is in talks with Indianapolis as the host city.

The Final Four is already set to take place in Indianapolis next year and the NCAA headquarters are in the Indiana state capital.

The League said it will move early-round matches that were to be played in 13 already designated locations. The men’s basketball committee in Division 1 of the NCAA said hosting all 68 teams in one location “will enhance the safety and well-being of the event.”
