Chictoaga, New York (WIVB) – The Erie County Health Department has ordered the closure of the indoor adventure trampoline and adventure park that had just opened in Chictoaga.

The health department also visited Get Air Trampoline Park On the Union Road in Cheektowaga The facility volunteered to close.
According to a Department of Health spokesperson, ECDOH previously informed the operators of each facility that under NY Forward, trampoline parks are considered indoor theme parks and are not permitted to open.
“Public health specialists visited these sites on Saturday afternoon,” the statement said. “In addition to opening these facilities, public health professionals have observed inappropriate concealment and physical distancing measures at the site.”
Urban Air may be permitted to reopen when NY Forward guidelines are issued for indoor theme parks such as trampoline parks, their safety plan is reviewed and approved by the Erie County Health Department, and the owner confirms that the facility will follow NY Forward guidelines.
