(WIVB) – The state Department of Health issues new rules for nursing homes during vacations.
It says that residents leaving a facility should test negative for COVID 24 hours before they return.
Once allowed to return, they will have to quarantine for two weeks.
During these two weeks, they should be tested at least three more times.
The Ministry of Health recommends that residents never leave a nursing home for a family or social gathering.
