Buffalo, New York – Prof. Winter weather alert Effective until 10 a.m. Wednesday in Northern Erie, Niagara, Genesee and Orleans counties.

This area was subjected to turbulence due to weak lake impact throughout the night, seeing a mixture of grainy snow, sleet and some freezing rain. The precipitation was light, but with temperatures below zero, the coating can cause problems.

Freezing spray periods are expected to last for several hours to come, which could lead to slippery conditions on the roads, affecting morning commuting.

Storm Team 2 will provide updates on radar, temperatures, and future looks tonight on Channel 2 Daybreak. You can also check the radar on any mobile device for free using wgrz.com/weather or the WGRZ app.
